The 4th International Brachypodium Conference (IBC2019) was held in Huesca, Spain from Jun. 25 to 28. More than 100 attendees joined the conference, and progresses and achievements in the research areas of biotic/abiotic stress response, tolerance, polyploidy and perenniality etc. were presented. Genome editing in Brachypodium using CRISPR/Cas9 technology also attracted many attentions. The next Conference, IBC2021, will be held in Washington State University, USA in 2021.
